Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 March 2026
1. Agreement to terms
By accessing or using PortfolioFast (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated at www.portfoliofast.com. For questions about these terms, contact us at PortfolioFastSupport@gmail.com.
2. Description of service
PortfolioFast generates developer portfolio websites by syncing with your GitHub account. You authenticate via GitHub, select which repositories to display, customise your profile, choose a template, and receive a shareable portfolio URL.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and have a valid GitHub account to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts
You sign in using your GitHub account via OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account. You must not share your session or allow others to access the Service through your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Subscription and billing
- The Service costs £3 per month, billed monthly via Stripe.
- Your subscription begins when you complete the payment process.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
- We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you continue to have access until the period ends.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change applies to their next billing cycle.
6. Your content
“Your Content” means data you provide or that we fetch on your behalf from GitHub, including repository metadata, profile information, and uploaded images.
- You retain all rights to Your Content.
- You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
- This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to display any content on your portfolio, including repository information from organisations or collaborative projects.
7. Private repositories
The Service can access metadata from your private GitHub repositories. If you choose to include private repositories on your public portfolio, their names, descriptions, and language information will be publicly visible. We display a clear warning before publishing and list which private repositories will be exposed. You are solely responsible for deciding which repositories to make visible.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Upload malicious content, including malware, phishing content, or offensive material
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Resell, sublicence, or redistribute the Service without our permission
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and templates, is owned by PortfolioFast. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service except as necessary to use it.
The portfolio templates are provided for use within the Service only. You may not extract or reuse them outside of PortfolioFast.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime.
11. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at PortfolioFastSupport@gmail.com.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PortfolioFast shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
